The snap of a twig underfoot alerts the deer to your presence. You still your heart and watch as steam rises from the doe’s breath. Eyes meet. A quiet moment shared in perfect stillness. The fawn resumes drinking from the stream, relaxed and refreshed. Venture now as they do, back into the day, senses heightened and aware.
