The Mini Sky Umbrella, a beloved MoMA favorite, has been reborn as an eco-friendly design. This new version features a double-layered canopy made from rPET—recycled post-consumer plastic bottles. What hasn’t changed is its uplifting design: when the umbrella is opened, its interior reveals a blue sky dotted with fluffy, white clouds. The Sky Umbrella is designed by Tibor Kalman, an artist and designer in MoMA’s collection, and Emanuela Frattini Magnusson. The Mini Sky Umbrella opens automatically and measures 11l x 2" diam. (closed) and 21h x 43" diam. (open).
