A new home is landing on the shores of Lake McBride: Migration 199 spreads its wings as comfortably as the migratory herons, egrets and osprey who inhabit the nearby bird sanctuary. In what is becoming a signature design language for AKAR ARchiTecture, the modular layout of the home frames not only the pristine lake views beyond, but also the house itself, creating layers of space not commonly found in the American design vernacular. Within the home, the floor plan can be left open, or be divided into 4 unique modules: Public, Master bedroom, Kids and Pool. Outside, an “Inlaws Bungalow” could easily double as a guest-house depending on the needs of the owner.
