This handbag is made of leather and horsetail hair fabric. It represents a bridge between a very fine and unique fabric from the baroque era and the contemporary design of Cover b today. The material is a hint from history and the form is the modern design of the present and future.
The woven patterns in the horsetail hair fabric are from the 18th century period of Friedrich des Groben to the period of Friedrich Schinkel design. These classic Prussian patterns of woven horsetail hair were commonly found on chairs and sofas in castles and palaces from that time period. Today these patterns are exclusive to Cover b. in the bags manufaturing industry. Only a very few weaving mills world wide master the art of horsetail hair weaving(it takes 25-40 horsetail hair per cm and 60-100 per inch of fabric). Horse tail fabric is very durable and it shines like silk.
