TINNER, MICHELLE
NEW YORK
Born in Grabs, Switzerland in 1980, Michelle Tinner studied ceramics at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Since graduating with her BFA in December 2003 she has participated in several national ceramic group and solo Exhibitions. She has been published in Ceramics Monthly magazine and in 500 Cups by Lark Books. Her work is also featured in the permanent collection at the University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In June 2005 she did an Arts Industry Internship at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI. From September 2005 to September 2006, Michelle was the Artist in residence at the Clay Art Center in Port Chester NY, and in 2008 she became a member of the Swiss Ceramics Association. She is currently teaching ceramics classes at the Barrett Clay Works in Poughkeepsie, NY.
