TRUJILLO, SANDRA
GEORGIA
In my ceramics and drawings I will often rely on the use of literary narrative devices to illustrate fiction. I suppose that I am using the tradition of portraiture in a similar way. I use ceramic processes and materials not simply as a canvas, but more importantly to solidify the placement of my drawings on ceramics within a domestic context. The portraits and or figures that I create are not intended to be mimetic representations of living forms, but are composites of fictional characters.
